The Blackthorn

A widely distributed shrub species in our country is the blackthorn or scientifically Prunus spinosa. Compared to elderberry hawthorn, it is shorter, it can reach a maximum of 2 to 3 m in height. The leaves have 2 to 4 cm, the flowers are white from 1 to 2 cm, and the fruits are black, bluish-whitish.
The blackthorn can be found from the plains to the mountainous areas.
