The Field maple

A common tree in such areas is the Field maple or scientifically Acer campestre.

The field maple is a species related to maple, being part of the same Acer species, which can reach up to 18 m in height, exceptionally up to 25 m.

The stem is usually crooked, with many knots and the bark is grayish-brown with whitish spots, it looks sprinkled with lime.

The leaves are small, 6 to 9 cm, and the petiole contains a milk-colored juice.

The longevity of the field maple is about 100 years.
